Born in a small Rajasthan village, Shri B. L. Joshi began his career in 1957 with the police service in Rajasthan and moved to the Govt. of India in 1962. During a long service career, Shri Joshi worked in different administrative positions including in the Ministry of Home Affairs, with Prime Ministers - Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri and Smt. Indira Gandhi, with the High Commissions of India at Islamabad and London, and with the Embassy of India at Washington D.C. He took voluntary retirement from the I.P.S. in 1991 and got involved in social work.

Dr. Milkha Singh Aulakh joined as founder Vice Chancellor of Manyawar Shri Kanshiram ji (MSKJ) University of Agriculture & Technology, Uttar Pradesh in June 2011. MSKJ University of Agriculture & Technology is a new State Agricultural University established at Banda in Uttar Pradesh.

Dr. Aulakh has a 37-year long career dedicated to education, research and administration. Earlier as Dean, College of Agriculture, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, he has accomplished distinguished goals by developing and successfully implementing education programmes for enhancing the intake of rural students in PAU. He has been instrumental in developing and starting new education programmes such as 6-year B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.), B.Sc. Biotechnology (Hons.), B.Tech. Food Technology (Hons.) and 2-year Certificate Course in Agriculture. Prior to being Dean, he was Additional Director of Research at PAU.   Read More
